We have partnered with “I’m a Yogi – Yoga” to offer yoga courses. We will be running two taster classes on Wednesday February 3rd & 10th 6:00pm – 7:00pm priced at 5.00 per class. 5 week course commences Wednesday February 24th. A maximum of 12 participants only; to secure your place please email firstname.lastname@example.org
If successful, another course will run after the easter holidays.
The class will be delivered by Sinead O’Neill, a qualified children and teen yoga teacher, teaching within Cardiff and the Vale. With a degree in Psychology and four years of experience working with children and young people (2-18 years), Sinead has enjoyed delivering groups and one-to-one work with children and young people, focusing on increasing their wellbeing through promoting healthy nutrition, exercise and relaxation. Settings include schools, nurseries, hospitals, and communities. Sinead has worked for, or in partnership with, leading charities Action for Children, Barnardos and Mind.
Sinead’s classes aim to support children’s development of strength, flexibility, confidence and concentration. Sinead also uses mindfulness and relaxation techniques to support children’s emotional wellbeing. It is hoped that children are able to use yoga as a tool to improve their physical and mental health. Classes are fun and engaging, with an appropriate amount of challenge so that each child feels like they are progressing with their practice, no matter where they start from.
Sinead has completed her award in Safeguarding and Protecting Children and Young People.
